“For All The Dogs” Drake Album Drop

Experience Drake’s New Album

After much anticipation, the newest Drake album just dropped earlier this month on October 6, 2023.For All The Dogscame out on multiple music platforms through OVO Sound and Republic Sounds. The famously known Toronto rapper and singer, has eight studio albums, one collaborative album, seven mixtapes, and about 141 singles. Those include 81 featured songs as an artist, which makes him one of the most widely known artists of this generation. Drake is famed for all of his R&B and Hip Hop music.

He released all 23 songs of his album, with multiple featured artists, while also featuring unexpected. hyped, and upcoming artists as well. With many fans looking forward to seeing Nicki Minaj, Bad Bunny, SZA, and even Lil Yachty as they were reported to be starring in some songs… He teased and indicated to fans that they should expect to hear the old Drake. As many of Drake’s fans were saying they missed the older version of Drake, and the way his prior music used to be more emotionally connected to many.

Many fans wanted him to do different collaborative songs with many artists such as the rapper DaBaby, where one OM student said, “The song would literally take the whole music industry by storm.” Many believe Drake hasn’t yet done a song with DaBaby because of the controversy surrounding him and his alleged problematic behaviors in his personal life. Some other artists featured from different genres included singer and rapper Sexyy Red, while another was SZA, since many wanted another song between the two artists. Bryson Tiller was also featured, as another person said, “It would be a good mix of R&B and Rap.”

After I listened to the whole album myself, I definitely think that the album has some really impressive songs that I feel will go viral. There were definitely some songs with SZA, which were very creative on both artists’ sides. Drake definitely created songs with artists of different genres that I love. Personally I do wish he had created a song with DaBaby because that would have been extremely interesting. After analyzing each song, I created a list of my top five songs in his album in which I recommend you listen to, and I think you’ll also enjoy the same way I did.

1. First Person Shooter (feat. J. Cole)

This song was absolutely the best and has an amazing beat. The collaboration with J. Cole was just what this album needed, it’s most definitely my favorite song in this album.

    2. IDGAF (feat. Yeat)

The flow of this song and the beat drops were awesome, making this my top two. I recommend this song, it’s one of my favorites as well.

    3. Gently (feat. Bad Bunny)

The mix we needed! I feel like this song will be very popular in the Hispanic community, especially because Bad Bunny is extremely popular with Spanish speakers. Personally, I speak both English and Spanish, and I really enjoy this mix of having both in one of Drake’s songs. This collaboration I really enjoy.

    4. Slime You Out (feat. SZA)

This song has such a pretty aspect to it. I feel like SZA just made this song 10 times better than it already is. I also definitely think both Drake and SZA knew what they were doing when they made this song. This should definitely be in everyone’s top five.

    5. Bahamas Promises

I think this track is a very peaceful song that reminds me of vacation and the relaxation of one. It’s a very calming song with pretty much the same beat and tone for the whole of it.

I definitely recommend you listen to Drake’s new album as many fans have really enjoyed it and who Drake decided to collaborate with in these songs. I personally think you’ll love it just like I did!
