Winter Weather Predictions
With all the news spreading about how global warming is impacting our planet and the tragic snowless winter we had last year, my doubts about any snow touching our grounds this year have been growing rapidly. What’s the point of hoping for something you are certain you’re not going to get? However, that may not be the case.
Being curious and all, I started doing some intense research and found that we may be in for some snowy action this winter season after all. From sources like the Farmer’s Almanac, it seems that Maryland might be in luck for a mild snowy winter. Even Justin Berk, a local meteorologist, believes that we might see some more action this year, as he put it on his website, “It will snow more because it can’t snow less” (since last year’s snowfall was basically non-existent). Unfortunately, he also suggests, for the overly excited ones out there, to not get your hopes up for any storm calls that are more than a week away because we would not be able to tell that soon.
With all this information spreading around on whether or not Maryland will have snow, it is hard to know if I should be excited or wary of getting my hopes up, but only time will tell. For now, I am certain of one thing, whether we receive a snow day or not, it will not add extra days to my graduation date!
