International Soccer Tournaments in 2024

There will be three big international soccer tournaments that will be happening next year in 2024, including the 2023 African Cup of Nations, Copa America 2024, and the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship.

First, the African Cup of Nations will be hosted by Ivory Coast next year in 2024. It is scheduled to start on the 13th of January and end on the 11th of February. The 24 participating teams include the host Ivory Coast, Morocco, Algeria, South Africa, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Tunisia, Egypt, Zambia, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Guinea Bissau, Cape Verde, Mali, Guinea, Ghana, Angola, Tanzania, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mauritania, Gambia, Namibia, and Cameroon, who were the host of the last tournament. The players will be playing in six stadiums, with the Stadiums being the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, Stade de la Paix in Bouaké, Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo, Laurent Pokou Stadium in San-Pédro, and Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussoukro. The tournament will have six groups. Group A has the host Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea Bissau. Group B has Egypt, Ghana, Cape Verde, and Mozambique. Group C has Senegal, Cameroon, Guinea, and Gambia. Group D has Algeria, Burkina Faso, Mauritania, and Angola. Group E has Tunisia, Mali, South Africa, and Namibia. The final group, Group F, has Morocco, DR of the Congo, Zambia, and Tanzania.

The 2024 Copa America will start on the 20th of June and will end on the 14th of July. The host will be the United States and this will be the 48th edition of the Copa America. The tournament will include sixteen teams – ten from CONMEBOL and six from CONCACAF which include Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. All of the CONMEBOL national teams are eligible to enter. 

Last we have the UEFA EURO 2024 which will be the 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship. The players will be playing at 10 different stadiums which are Olympiastadion Berlin Stadium, Fußball Arena München Stadium, BVB Stadion Dortmund Stadium, Stuttgart Arena, Arena Auf Schalke, Frankfurt Arena, Volksparkstadion Hamburg, Düsseldorf Arena, Cologne Stadium, and the Leipzig Stadium. The teams that have qualified for the tournament so far are the hosts Germany, Belgium, France, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Turkey, Austria, England, Hungary, Slovakia, Albania, Denmark, Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia. It is scheduled to start on the 14th of June next year and to end on the 14th of July.
