A Guide To Making Memories
Are you stuck on trying to find out what you and your friends could do during your few days off from school? Here are five activities that are time-consuming and fun!

1. Go ice skating – Find your local ice skating rink, secure your safety gear, wear some warm clothes, like a coat or jacket, and go ice skating! Ice skating is unique; you’ll be able to feel the Christmas spirit and have a blast with your friends. You guys can race, skate, talk, and sing and dance along to music. Maybe even have a few fun falls with them!

2. Make gingerbread houses – Making gingerbread houses is a very common activity during the holiday season. You can find them on Amazon, Costco, and Walmart. Making gingerbread houses is really fun because you get to decorate them however you would like. With friends and even family, you guys can be creative together, have competitions, and even eat them after! Keep the Christmas spirit alive.

3. Go Christmas Shopping At The Mall This will give you a chance to get last-minute Christmas gifts for your friends and family. A couple of places to consider shopping at are Bath and Body Works if you’re looking for nice-smelling perfume or candles, American Eagle or Hollister if you’re looking for nice jeans, and lastly, H&M, which has nice graphic tees or shirts in general. If you still have time after shopping, you could go see a movie if there is one in the mall you’re at, or at least nearby; you can also grab something to eat from the food court. This can be fun because you have a variety of places to shop in one spot, which can be very time-consuming when you’re looking for gifts for different people.

4. Have a game night – You and all your friends can meet up and play plenty of games. For example, Charades, where you don’t necessarily need specific equipment, all you need to do is divide into two groups, where one person from each group acts out a thing of choice that has to be guessed. Another fun game for game night could be Jenga. In this game, you build a tower, and you guys take turns picking out a block without knocking the whole thing down. Having a game night could boost your mood and help you build your friendship and teamwork skills.

5. Go skiing – If you plan on going skiing, you should book very early because during the winter season, they can get very busy. It is recommended that you wear ski-specific clothing and warm clothing like hats, earmuffs, and coats. This also requires you to have balance and coordination movements because one little mess up can cause you to go tumbling down the hill. This could be very fun for you and your friends because you’re learning how to do something new that isn’t really common, and you can learn together. We have a few ski locations nearby in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
