“The last time a small action made a big difference in my life would probably have to deal with everything leading up to the walkout that we had a week or so ago. I know some people may or may not consider what happened to be a ‘small action’, but all of the little things that we all did that added up to the walkout made a very big difference in not only my life, but the lives of a lot of people in our school. So many people came out to the stadium, teachers included, to support what us students were standing for. The difference doesn’t stop there though because people are still working to get what we want now. This wasn’t an ‘in the heat of the moment’ type of thing, there are still students and adults doing there part to help keep us safe and I personally think that that is very big of them. No matter how small the action may seem, the consequences of it can be great. It’s always the little things that add up to the big things.” – Brian Wheelock, ’16
