Mysterious Death Of Two Female Soldiers In Texas under Investigation

Through New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, the bodies of two females were found and they were pronounced dead. Private first class, Asia M. Graham was found unresponsive in her barracks at Fort Bliss on December 31st; the other, Jessica Mitchell, was shot several times in her car in San Antonio around 2:00 am New Year’s morning. Investigators stated that on her way to the hospital, she died from her injuries.

Jessica Mitchell, 30,  was on a holiday leave from her military assignment as a dental specialist before she died. Investigators stated that there were multiple gunshots to the driver side door and window. Police found Mitchell after they received word that a suspicious vehicle was stranded in the middle of the highway. The Army’s criminal investigation division is currently investigating the truth behind Mitchell’s death. The San Antonio police are also assisting with the investigation.

Back on June 1st of 2020, Asia M. Graham filed a report of sexual abuse. Graham was assigned to the human resource department and joined the Army in 2019. Fort Bliss was her first assigned duty. The Army Criminal Investigation Command announced that they do not suspect foul play as a reason as to why she passed away. The circumstances behind Graham’s death is under investigation as well. An autopsy is being performed to determine how she died.

Although the cases are seemingly unrelated, it is suspicious that both victims were women in the military who were stationed in Texas and died within 24 hours of each other.
