Have you ever felt that life was unpredictable? That you haven’t had time to prepare for what was being thrown at you? That everything was just too much and you needed a break to get your thoughts together? Just take a moment and breathe. I have been there myself and I understand the feelings you feel in that moment. Life has been a bit much for me before and I kept asking myself all of the “what ifs” in life and spiraled. So to help you avoid spiraling, here are some possible romantic “what ifs” and how to deal with them.
What if they leave you on read?
Move on. If they are leaving you on read then they are not worth your time. Your time is precious and so are you. You shouldn’t be waiting for someone who won’t give you the time of day.
What if they ghost me?
Listen to “Evermore” by Taylor Swift (or the Fearless re-records). I can’t magically fix the hurt that you’ll feel, but perhaps Taylor can.
Additional Songs I recommend:
“6 Feet Under” by Billie Eilish
“I Knew You Were Trouble” by Taylor Swift
“F*** You (Forget You)” by Ceelo Green
“Rules” by Dua Lipa
“God is a Woman” by Ariana Grande
What if I don’t feel good enough in my everyday life?
I hate to tell you this, but the person you are idolizing and comparing yourself to has had the same doubts at one point or another. It isn’t: am I good enough? It’s: how do I push myself to be better? Try to do anything you do can help push you to that point. Whether it is studying more, participating in your classes, or it can even be as little as buying an outfit that makes you feel more confident. You are already good enough, and that is something that you may have to continually remind yourself.
What if they get clingy?
Set boundaries. You can’t just live life not letting people know what bothers you and how things affect you. Your voice really does matter and your boundaries are important, so make sure that they are heard.
What if they cheat on you?
Leave them. They shouldn’t cheat. If they do and try to make it your fault, it isn’t. No one should hurt you like that, it isn’t fair to you.
