Boys soccer:
The boys soccer team finished this past season 9-2-1. A highlight win was against Mount Hebron where they won 1-0 on the 14th of September. Their first playoff game was against Westminster High School on the 30th of October, pushing them to beat Westminster 2-0. This led them to play Mount Hebron for the second time on the 2nd of November where they lost 1-2.
Girls soccer:
The girls soccer team won their first playoff game on Wednesday, October 27th against Middletown 1-0. Going into their next game that was on the 1st of November against Poolsvile where sadly they lost 1-2, ending their season. This is the first year they have won a playoff game since 2018 when they played Hammond High School. With the loss against Poolesville, they ended their season with a 4-11 record.
Field hockey:
The field hockey team ended the season with a 1-12 record. The field hockey team went to playoffs where they played Glenelg High School on the 1st of November. They unfortunately lost 0-10. This year they beat Lansdowne High School 3-2 on October 18th. The last time they won a game, they beat the golden bears 4-1 in 2018.
Volleyball:
The varsity volleyball team played Poolesville for their first playoff game on November 5th, losing 18-25 during the first round, 21-25 the second round, and 23-25 the last round. This past season they also got some good publicity when their teammate and captain Zhenzhu Nelson was interviewed about her Volleyball career here at OM. The interview ended up getting positive publicity for the varsity volleyball team.
Football:

With a record of 8-1 the OMHS football team left the season strong and earned a bye for the first week of playoffs, giving them two weeks to get ready to face off against Walkersville on November 12th. After an exciting season of wins, Coach Thomas Browne won the Baltimore Ravens high school coach of the week. “Oakland Mills football coach Thomas Browne is this week’s Baltimore Ravens High School Coach of the Week, the team announced Thursday.
