The infamous manga, Attack on Titan, and its anime installment is now coming to an end. After nine years of the captivating series, Hajime Isayama has decided to give an end to the series.
The show follows main character Eren Jaeger and his quest to save humanity from creature-like man-eating titans. He also wants to avenge his mother who perished at the hand of these titans. Along the way he makes some companions but this journey is not full of happiness and love. Death and sorrow fill his walk to vengeance.
The most recent season came out on December 7th, 2020, and it ended with a cliff-hanger that left fans to ponder the journey of Eren Jaeger and his friends. If you need a recap on the series, be sure to check out my previous article on the acclaimed series.
Season four, the final addition, has been split into two parts; the second part aired on January 16th, 2022. It is available on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Funimation streaming on Sundays at 3:45 pm ET. The second part of season four has 12 episodes, with the final week of the season projected for March.
It is expected that fans will be disappointed by the ending of the series. Fans who are manga readers of the series already know the ending, and it has been encouraged that they refrain from spoiling the end of the series. I feel sad that the series is coming to an end but all things must eventually end and it gives Isayama time to rest and possibly push out new and different works. I also don’t limit his creative abilities to one project.
