“Eternal Atake” is the second studio album by Lil Uzi Vert, and it was also one of the most highly anticipated rap albums to be released this year. Fans have been anxiously awaiting the album since it was first mentioned in 2018. “Eternal Atake” was released on March 6th, and was quickly followed up with a deluxe edition featuring old, unreleased songs.
“Eternal Atake” is a mix of old 2015/2016 Uzi while also incorporating a new flow unique to Uzi himself. Not only did he include some hard flows, but he also maintained the theme of an alien abduction while the songs transitioned. If you’ve seen the promotions prior to the album’s release, you know that extraterrestrial beings are a big part of “Eternal Atake.”
Before the album’s release, Lil Uzi released two of his songs as singles: “That Way” and “Futsal Shuffle 2020.” “That Way” features a catchy rendition of the famous Backstreet Boys’ hit, “I Want It That Way.” “Futsal Shuffle” is a dance anthem that immediately went viral upon its release. Between those two songs alone and the bonus songs, “Eternal Atake” had so much new content to be excited about, while also being familiar enough that we could sing and dance along to a few tracks. Overall, I’d rate this album a 9.4/10 and I definitely recommend giving it a listen. Uzi did not disappoint!
