In August of 2019 in Louisville, Kentucky, a man named Cane Madden was accused of sexually assaulting and hitting an eight year old girl in the head with a shovel, leaving her with a fractured skull. A Jefferson County judge has found Madden incompetent to stand trial. In 2017, he was ruled incompetent to stand trial in another sexual assault case in which he confessed to. He is now being scheduled for a hearing on the Commonwealth’s petition for involuntary hospitalization.
