Henry Ruggs Ⅲ is a 22-year-old former wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders. On November 2nd at 3:00 am, Ruggs was driving a Chevrolet Corvette going 156 miles per hour while intoxicated. His girlfriend and mother to his 3-year-old daughter, 22-year-old Kiara Je’nai Kilgo-Washington was in the car with him. As Ruggs was driving, he crashed into the back of another vehicle and the car caught fire. While Ruggs and Kilgo-Washington made it out alive, 23-year-old Tina O. Tintor and her dog did not. Tintor was the driver of the vehicle Ruggs had crashed into.
On November 3rd, Ruggs attended court with the charges of driving under the influence resulting in death and reckless driving. Ruggs ended up getting charged and has a bail set at $150, 000. Later that same day, Ruggs’ bail was posted and he was released from jail. The Raiders released Ruggs from the team just a few hours after the crash happened. Kilgo-Washington suffered a severe arm injury for which she had to go into surgery. The case is still ongoing as Ruggs waits for chargers. With that, Ruggs has just thrown away his million-dollar football career.
